New-model intelligence

Valhalla goes open: what Aston Martin's Spider reveal means for collectors

A 1,079 PS open-cockpit Valhalla is now official. Pricing, final Spider production and resale evidence are not.

By Supercar Collectible ·

Aston Martin announced the Valhalla Spider on 28 October 2026, extending its mid-engined Valhalla project into an open-cockpit variant. The headline figures remain those of the Coupe: 1,079 PS from a twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors, 1,100 Nm and an announced 350 km/h maximum speed. This is a model launch, not evidence of a new secondary-market valuation.

The roof is more than a styling change

The Spider comes with a removable fabric roof. Aston Martin states that this roof permits speeds of up to 200 km/h when fitted. The optional removable carbon-fibre hardtop, by contrast, permits the car's full 350 km/h maximum; that speed is also attainable with the roof removed. An adapted snorkel, wind deflector, active aerodynamics and stability-control calibration are designed specifically for the open cockpit. The manufacturer quotes more than 600 kg of downforce with a roof fitted.

Why the delivery schedule matters

Aston Martin expects the first Valhalla Spider deliveries in the third quarter of 2027. The marque will show the car at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas. A UK Aston Martin dealer reports a planned allocation of 249 Spider cars within a wider programme of 999 Valhallas. We treat the Spider count as dealership reporting, not a manufacturer-confirmed final production number.

The price question remains open

At the time of our 30 October review, Aston Martin had not published an official Spider list price in the manufacturer sources checked. Nor are there verified completed Spider resale transactions or an established model-specific asking-price market. Coupe prices or published allocations must not be presented as Spider transactions. Supercar Collectible is therefore not assigning a Spider fair-market value or SCI investment score.

What we will watch

The next evidence milestones are a manufacturer-confirmed Spider production quantity and price list, final customer specifications, first delivered cars and independently verifiable sales. Condition, equipment, provenance, original tax treatment and actual supply will matter more than early price speculation. We will retain this Spider as a distinct catalogue variant, rather than merge its future market record into the Valhalla Coupe.
